Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This policy describes, in plain language, what ResumeHQ collects, how it's used, and the controls you have over it.

What we collect

  • Your email address and password, if you create an account (password is handled by Supabase Auth — we never see it in plain text).
  • Resume text you upload or paste, and any job descriptions you provide.
  • Content you generate or save: cover letters, interview prep answers, job tracker entries, analysis history.
  • Basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage) that don't include your resume content.

How it's used

Your resume text and job descriptions are sent to Google's Gemini API solely to generate your analysis, cover letter, interview questions, or other requested output. This content is not used by us to train any model.

Storage

If you're signed in, your resumes, analyses, cover letters, and job tracker entries are stored in our database (hosted on Supabase) and protected by row-level security so that only you can read or modify your own data. If you use the analyzer without signing in, your resume is processed and returned to you but is not saved anywhere.

Third parties

  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage.
  • Google (Gemini API) — AI processing of resume/job description text.

Your controls

You can delete individual resumes, analyses, or cover letters at any time from your dashboard. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Dashboard → Settings.
